Sheffield Wednesday have signed striker Gary Hooper from Norwich City on a three-and-a-half-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

Hooper had been on loan at Hillsborough, and scored six goals in six appearances for the club.

The former Celtic striker dropped further down the pecking order at Carrow Road following the arrival of Steven Naismith from Everton this week.

Wednesday had also been reportedly linked with moves for Blackburn striker Jordan Rhodes and Fulham forward Ross McCormack.
