Colchester will be without suspended Frankie Kent for their Sky Bet League Two tie against Notts County at the JobServe Stadium on Saturday.
Centre-back Kent was sent off following a second yellow card for a challenge on Crawley's Panutche Camara in the final minutes of the game on New Year's Day.
John McGreal will also be unable to call on the services of Aaron Collins after the striker returned to parent club Wolves at the start of January. The Colchester boss made two changes to his starting line-up against Crawley and could make more alterations on Saturday.
County boss Neal Ardley will be without nine players for their cup match after Matt Tootle was the latest to join the long injury list. Tootle joins Lewis Alessandra, Enzio Boldewijn, Kane Hemmings, Dan Jones, Elliott Hewitt and Jamie Turley on the sidelines.
Duo Christian Oxlade-Chamberlain and Keston Davies are also unavailable for Ardley through suspension. Oxlade-Chamberlain picked up the suspension following two yellow cards on New Year's Day, while Davies serves the last match of a three-game ban.
