Saido Berahino is looking forward to reigniting his career having survived a "big test" at former club West Brom, his agent tells Sky Sports News HQ.
The 23-year-old secured a protracted move away from The Hawthorns in January, signing for Stoke in a £12m deal.
He was the subject of four bids from Spurs in the summer of 2015, with the striker trying to force through a move by submitting a written transfer request and then by threatening "never to play for [chairman] Jeremy Peace" on Twitter.
Berahino, also accused of having fitness issues by his previous employers, is now strangely preparing for a match against his former club at The Hawthorns this weekend.
"There will be lots of fun and games - he always gave his all for West Brom - but I'm sure he's looking forward to it and just wants to get back and do what he does best," Saif Rubie, Berahino's football intermediary, told SSNHQ.
"It's very tough when a player is not allowed to leave for a big club like Tottenham when they came in for him and having to stay professional as long as he has done.
"It's been a big test and hopefully he can repay the faith Mark Hughes and Stoke have shown in him.
"He was a victim of the circumstances of not being able to move on when the opportunity came and commercially it's cost West Brom a lot of money and that's for them to deal with."
