West Bromwich Albion have completed the signing of left-back Kieran Gibbs from Arsenal for £7m.

Gibbs, who has 10 caps for England, has signed a four-year contract at The Hawthorns and will wear the No 3 shirt.

Watford pulled out of a deal for the defender on Tuesday after failing to agree personal terms, despite agreeing a deal with the Gunners last week.

Gibbs, who made his debut for Arsenal in 2007, lost his first-team place to Nacho Monreal last season when he made just eight Premier League starts and, having missed the pre-season tour to the Far East, has yet to feature this season.

Speaking about the move, Gibbs said: "Firstly, I would like to say how delighted I am to sign for West Brom.

"It has been an amazing journey to play for my childhood club since I was 14. I would like to thank Arsene Wenger for giving me the chance to start my career and fulfil a dream!

"Thank you to all the fans, the Arsenal staff and especially my team-mates who have been there during these special moments and have helped me through some tough times.

"Now it is time for the next chapter with West Bromwich Albion and I can't wait to get started with the boys.

"(Tony Pulis is) different to what I've had before and I feel he can develop me in certain areas I maybe need to work on. He can help me progress."

The 27-year-old joins new signings Jay Rodriguez, Ahmed Hegazi, Gareth Barry and Oliver Burke at The Hawthorns and brings the club's summer spending to £38m. The Baggies also signed China international forward Yuning Zhang and loaned him to Werder Bremen.

Albion chairman John Williams said: "I'm delighted to welcome Kieran to the club. We have recruited another quality addition, an England player with bags of experience at Premier League and Champions League level. We are confident he will do well for us."

West Brom are also in advanced talks with Paris Saint-Germain about a possible loan deal for midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak.
