West Bromwich Albion's interest in Watford striker Odion Ighalo has cooled and Tony Pulis is turning his attentions to other targets, according to Sky sources.
When negotiations with Stoke City stalled last week over the transfer of striker Saido Berahino, we understand Albion did consider the option of a swap deal with Ighalo.
But now that Berahino has gone to the Britannia - in a £12m deal last week - Pulis has decided against a separate deal for the Watford striker.
Pulis does have money to spend, despite shelling out £10m on Hull midfielder Jake Livermore.
He is now deciding whether a striker or a defender is his biggest priority in this window.
Ighalo had a superb debut season in the Premier League, scoring 17 goals but he has found them harder to come by this season, finding the back of the net just twice so far.
