WATCH: Mixed day for Tom Ince as he scores two but misses two penalties

Derby County's Tom Ince scored two goals against Rotherham but also missed two penalties as the Rams won 3-0

Tom Ince had a mixed afternoon for Derby as he scored two goals but also missed two penalties during their 3-0 win over Rotherham.

Ince's poor 15th-minute spot-kick was saved easily by Rotherham goalkeeper Lee Camp, before the midfielder tapped home the rebound.

Darren Bent then made it 2-0 to the Rams shortly afterwards in the 19th minute, before Ince added a third shortly after the hour mark.

Ince then had the opportunity to complete his hat-trick and make it 4-0 to Derby, but again Camp was there to deny him from the spot.

"We didn't start well, once we got the goal we settled," said Derby boss Steve McClaren. "We could have scored more and we created chances. Five or six games ago we were wondering if we would ever score, but now we are creating chances and credit to the staff.

"We could have scored four, we missed a penalty but the clean sheet was important. Progress was made. We are not the full package, there is still a lot of work, but I am still encouraged by the response of the players."
