Sunderland have completed the Deadline Day signing of Marc Wilson from Bournemouth.
Wilson has signed a one-year deal with the Championship club after being allowed to leave the Vitality Stadium on a free transfer.
The 30-year-old Republic of Ireland international joined the Cherries on a two-year deal in 2016 but failed to make a single Premier League appearance under Eddie Howe last season.
The former Portsmouth and Stoke defender has now linked up with Simon Grayson at Sunderland after his transfer to the Stadium of Light was confirmed late on Thursday evening.
Wilson, who previously captained Pompey, has played in the Europa League with Stoke as well as the 2011 FA Cup final.
The versatile defender will join up with international team-mates John O'Shea, Aiden McGeady and Darron Gibson at Sunderland.
