Jason Lowe has become Harry Redknapp's 11th signing of the transfer window at Birmingham City, penning a one-year deal.
The former Blackburn Rovers captain was a free agent after leaving Ewood Park in the summer following their relegation from the Sky Bet Championship.
Lowe, 25, was on trial with Premier League side, and local Birmingham rivals, West Brom before moving to St Andrew's.
The defensive midfielder, who can also play at full-back, had been with Blackburn since 2010 and has made 11 appearances for England's U21 side.
"It's a fresh start for me, I've been at Blackburn a very long time so I'm looking forward to the challenge," Lowe told Blues TV.
"It was pretty straightforward, as soon as I knew it was on. The way the manager, and the club, want to go is up and challenge for promotion.
"There's a good squad here and as soon as I knew there was interest I wanted to come."
