Burnley have upped their offer for Derby midfielder Jeff Hendrick, according to Sky sources.
The Clarets had their original bid - reportedly £3m - rejected earlier this month, but have returned with an improved offer.
It is understood that Premier League Burnley have offered cash, along with two of their defenders - James Tarkowski and Tendayi Darikwa - who would move to the Ipro Stadium on loan.
Hendrick's reputation was boosted after impressing for the Republic of Ireland during the Euro 2016 finals in France.
The 24-year-old has played for Derby County since 2011 and has two years left on his contract.
New Rams manager Nigel Pearson is keen to keep Hendrick at the Championship club, who rejected Burnley's initial offer for the player because they felt it hugely underestimated his market value.
