Watford have made a £7.8m bid for Juventus midfielder Roberto Pereyra, according to Sky sources.
The Premier League club are keen to secure the services of the Argentina international, who can play either as a winger or an attacking midfielder.
Sky sources understand that the Hornets have offered €10m plus a bonus for the 25-year-old.
Pereyra started his career at River Plate. He has 10 caps for Argentina and collected a runners-up medal at last year's Copa America.
