Watford head coach Quique Sanchez Flores believes Manchester United may have benefited from their injury crisis.

United currently have 17 players out injured - including captain Wayne Rooney - but have found inspiration in the form of some of their youngsters, notably 18-year-old striker Marcus Rashford.

Rashford has scored four goals in two games since making his United debut against Midtjylland last week - and Flores, whose Watford side must stop the teenager at Old Trafford on Wednesday night, is excited by United's latest young star.

"I like him," said Flores. "I love how he's always anticipating a cross, he's very nice player and good talent for the future.

"When younger players are strong and quick, you just need to open the door and tell them to go for it.

Flores also highlighted the work of another player who came through the United youth system - Watford defender Craig Cathcart.

"Craig Cathcart will have emotions playing his former side but he's a very serious character who can manage the situation," added Flores.

"It happens a lot in football, where younger players don't make it at a big team and they have to go away to work their way back."
