Reece Oxford has joined FC Augsburg on loan from West Ham until the end of the season.
Sky Sports News reported on Wednesday that West Ham had rejected a loan offer from Dutch side Heerenveen.
Oxford has yet to play a game for West Ham this season, with his last appearance for the club coming in October 2016.
He already has experience of the German top flight having spent most of the past season on loan to Borussia Monchengladbach, for whom he made seven appearances.
A number of clubs have reportedly shown an interest in the youngster, whose contract with the Hammers runs until June 2021.
According to Sky sources, Nottingham Forest and Eintracht Frankfurt had previously been in talks to sign him.
Oxford became West Ham's youngest-ever player at 16 years and 198 days when he made his debut in a Europa League tie in July 2015.
