West Ham try to hijack Crystal Palace's deal to sign Ibrahim Amadou

By Sky Sports News

West Ham have made an enquiry to Lille for their captain Ibrahim Amadou, Sky Sports News understands.

Crystal Palace have made two bids for the 24-year-old, the most recent of which was a loan offer with the option to buy, but they are still some way off the £17.6m valuation placed on him by the French club.

West Ham have 14 players currently unavailable through injury and David Moyes has targeted midfielders and defenders in this window.

Amadou can play as a holding midfielder or a centre-back and has made 21 appearances for the Ligue 1 side this season.

The Cameroon international joined Lille in 2015, and has scored two goals from 74 league appearances.
