West Ham are interested in signing either Pablo Zabaleta or Bacary Sagna from Manchester City in the summer, according to Sky sources.

City's defensive duo are out of contract at the end of the campaign and have yet to be offered fresh terms by the club.

Sky sources understand West Ham are keen to sign a right-back before the start of next season and could make a move for either player if their contracts are not renewed by City.

Zabaleta has won two Premier League titles since joining City from Espanyol in 2008, while Sagna has racked up 81 games since arriving from Arsenal on a free transfer in 2014.

Sam Byram and Alvaro Arbeloa are currently the Hammers' only recognised right-backs, although winger Michail Antonio and midfielders Havard Nordtveit and Cheikhou Kouyate have been deployed in that position this season.

Sky sources also understand West Ham remain interested in St Etienne right-back Kevin Malcuit, despite having failed to secure a deal for the 25-year-old during the January transfer window.

Malcuit has two years remaining on his current contract and the Ligue 1 side are prepared to listen to offers for the Frenchman, who they signed for £500,000 from second division club Niort in August 2015.
