Dimitri Payet is continuing to train with West Ham's U23 squad, with no agreement yet reached on a sale to Marseille.
Reports in the national press claimed the wantaway France international had been turning up late for training and also walked out on a practice session on Sunday.
Sky Sports News HQ understands those reports are inaccurate and that the 29-year-old has been following orders from the club since telling manager Slaven Bilic that he wanted to leave.
West Ham have won back-to-back Premier League matches without Payet, which has lifted them into the top half of the table.
Sky sources understand the Hammers have rejected two offers for Payet from his former club Marseille, including a £20m bid, and value him at £30m.
Payet, who joined West Ham from Marseille for £10.75m in the summer of 2015, wants to return to the south of France because of family reasons.
He has scored 15 goals in 60 appearances for West Ham and was rewarded with a new five-and-a-half year deal last February.
