Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson has revealed he wants to stay at Sheffield United after helping them to promotion back into the Premier League.
Henderson, 22, has kept 20 clean sheets in 44 appearances while on loan at Bramall Lane club this campaign.
He is yet to feature in a competitive fixture for United and has also previously been loaned out to Stockport County, Grimsby Town and Shrewsbury Town since his arrival at Old Trafford in 2015.
The England U21 international says he would happily make his stay in South Yorkshire permanent, should that become an option.
Henderson told Sheffield United's YouTube channel: "For me personally I was really emotional and I've told the gaffer (Chris Wilder) 'listen, don't let me leave'.
"But obviously it comes down to the two clubs to agree on money and stuff, so I'll be itching at the bit to come back here next season."
Chris Wilder's team were promoted back into the top flight for the first time since 2006/07 after Leeds were held to a 1-1 draw with Aston Villa and the Blades defeated Ipswich 2-0 over the weekend.
If Sheffield United beat Stoke on the final day of the season, the Blades could go up as champions if Norwich City lose away to Aston Villa and better the Canaries' goal difference.
Henderson added: "It made me really emotional to get this club back to where they belong.
"It's a massive football club and driving forward they deserve to be in the Premier League."
