Oxford United winger Ryan Williams hopes his loan spell from Fulham can be extended until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old has made 18 appearances since his summer move to the Kassam Stadium, scoring four goals in Oxford's run to the top of Sky Bet League Two and the third round of the FA Cup. Williams' loan deal is set to expire at the end of December, but he is keen to help United secure promotion in the second half of the campaign. "I'm enjoying my football here," Williams told the Oxford Mail. "I've had to wait for my chance and I've taken it and proved I should be playing every week. "I'm having fun, we're getting results and scoring goals - I could not really be happier. I think it would be quite stupid for me to go elsewhere at this point in time." Oxford manager Chris Wilder is confident Fulham will allow the youngster to continue playing first-team football for his side. "I think we are quite a way down the road in terms of extending it until the end of the season, which is good news," he said.
