Fulham are interested in signing former Sunderland forward Asamoah Gyan on loan, according to Sky sources.
The 30-year-old Ghana international is currently playing for Shanghai SIPG but has found his game time limited following the arrival of Hulk at the Chinese Super League club.
And it is understood Gyan would welcome the opportunity to play under Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic.
One source reports that Gyan could fly in for a medical this week, although how much of his sizeable wage packet Fulham will pay will be a factor in whether a deal can be done.
Jokanovic has been frustrated by Fulham's lack of activity in the transfer market and Gyan is one of his personal targets, but Turkish side Besiktas are also interested in securing the services of the forward on loan.
Ghana's all-time leading goalscorer, Gyan has played at three World Cups and helped his country to reach the quarter finals in 2010.
