Gabriel Jesus could feature for Manchester City at Wembley on Sunday after two months out, Pep Guardiola has confirmed.
The Brazilian has not played since a sensational start to his City career was cut short by a metatarsal injury suffered against Bournemouth on February 13.
But Guardiola, speaking to the press on Friday, did not rule out starting Jesus in this weekend's FA Cup semi-final against Arsenal.
"He's much, much better," said the City boss, who will be without John Stones owing to a muscular problem. "Today he made part of the training with us. He's coming back with his happiness and we are so happy he is back again.
"All the squad are going to travel as a group to Wembley so he will be part of that. After that we are going to see [if he makes the squad].
"He had all of Europe in his hands and he decided to come here, we cannot forget that. Hopefully he can help us before the end of the season."
With an 11-point deficit on Chelsea in the Premier League, the FA Cup represents City's last realistic chance of a trophy in their manager's first season.
And the Catalan, who saw his side fall short against Monaco in the Champions League, hopes winning the competition would open the floodgates for a squad he believes is lacking confidence.
"I would like to win the FA Cup to prove to my players in their heads how good they are," he said. "I said many times to them: they are fantastic players and a fantastic team and winning titles helps you a lot.
"You realise you have lived that experience and when you win a title or a final it is a lot of stress and pressure. When you handle that and are able to win, the next time will be a little bit easier. That's why it is important for the club."
The imminent return of Jesus, who scored three goals in the two games before his injury, comes on the back of captain Vincent Kompany's goalscoring start against Southampton last week.
Summer signing Ilkay Gundogan is another who has been sidelined for a long period, and Guardiola said: "Of course with Gundogan, Gabriel and Vincent all season we would have been stronger, but you have to prepare the squad."
Wembley holds good memories for Guardiola, who became a European champion there with Barcelona as player and manager.
He said: "Wembley is an important part of my life. To go back there will be special always."
