Barcelona head coach Luis Enrique has warned Pep Guardiola critics the Manchester City boss will win, and in his own way.
Guardiola is currently enduring the longest winless run of his managerial career, with City having not secured a victory in their last six games.
That spell included a 4-0 defeat against his former club Barcelona at the Nou Camp, as well as a 1-0 loss to Jose Mourinho-led rivals Manchester United in the EFL Cup on Wednesday.
However, current Barcelona boss and former team-mate Luis Enrique has urged those worrying a change in the style of play will stop City winning trophies that Guardiola knows what he is doing.
"To the critics of Guardiola I will say this: 'don't worry, he's going to win trophies this season,'" Luis Enrique told a news conference ahead of Saturday's game with Granada in La Liga.
"Critics will always appear because people don't like it when the same people win all the time, but I'm sure Pep is going to win, and he's going to win while playing the same spectacular football we saw at the start of the season.
"If you have to have a philosophy and an idea you have to die by it."
Guardiola won a record 14 trophies in four years in charge at Barcelona and guided Bayern to three successive Bundesliga titles before succeeding Manuel Pellegrini as City manager last summer.
City remain top of the Premier League after a 100 per cent record from their opening 10 games in all competitions this season, and travel to West Brom on Saturday before hosting Barcelona in the Champions League on Tuesday.
