Sergio Aguero wants Argentina team-mate Lionel Messi to join him at Manchester City. - but he admits a move is "difficult".
In October, Sky Sports' Spanish football expert Guillem Balague revealed the 28-year-old Barcelona forward was the closest he had ever been to leaving the club and could be open to a move away from the Camp Nou in the near future.
Balague also said City were attempting to lure Messi to Manchester and Aguero has now had his say on a potential move for his compatriot.
Aguero told Goal: "If Messi wants to come here, let him come.
"Hopefully he can be here at City obviously but, of course, it's always the player's decision. I think he's very comfortable and very calm in Barcelona."
"It's very difficult for Leo to leave Barcelona because he's played there since he was young. It's not easy for him to think about another team. So no...," he added to Omnisport.
Messi, whose current deal with Barcelona runs until 2018, is expected to make his 500th appearance for the club against Real Betis on Wednesday, live on Sky Sports 2 HD from 7.25pm.
Aguero is confident Messi would adapt to the physical nature of the Premier League, if he decides to make the move.
He said: "He's the best player in the world - he can handle the Chinese league too. There will always be pressure in any country.
"If you're the best in the world you can be the best anywhere."
