Christian Eriksen scored either side of half-time as Tottenham eased to a 3-0 win over Hull to keep up their push for a top-four place.

The hosts went ahead early at White Hart Lane through Eriksen but had to wait until more than an hour into the match for him to get their second.

Victor Wanyama's second goal since joining the club from Southampton in the summer then sealed a routine victory for Mauricio Pochettino's men.

Tottenham remain fifth in the Premier League table as a result of their fourth successive home win in all competitions.

Indeed, they stay both three points behind fourth-placed Liverpool and three ahead of the Manchester United team which beat them at the weekend, with both teams winning on Wednesday.

Hull stay second from bottom in the table, just a point ahead of Sunderland at the foot, as their search for a second away win of the league campaign goes on.

They have now failed to even score in 12 of their last 17 Premier League games in London and have just one win in their last 11 Premier League fixtures.
