Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes featured for Everton in a behind-closed-doors friendly match at the club's Finch Farm training ground on Thursday.
Neither player has made a first-team appearance since joining from Barcelona on the final day of the summer transfer window due to injury.
Mina has been on the sidelines since suffering a setback in training following a foot injury, while Gomes has been kept out by a hamstring problem.
But the pair are expected to be in contention for Everton's next match against Crystal Palace at Goodison Park, live on Sky Sports Premier League on October 21.
James McCarthy also played for Everton as he continued his comeback from a double leg break suffered in January, while Phil Jagielka played a full part in the game having recovered from a knee problem.
