Everton duo Tom Davies and Jonjoe Kenny say they are enjoying Sam Allardyce's "straightforward" approach to management.
Allardyce got off to a winning start with the Toffees with a 2-0 victory against Huddersfield in the Premier League, but missed the 3-0 win at Apollon Limassol in the Europa League to attend a pre-arranged medical appointment.
Davies says the former England manager has implemented his ideas without confusion ahead of the Merseyside derby against Liverpool on Sunday, live on Sky Sports Premier League.
He told Sky Sports News: "I've enjoyed it so far. He's dead straightforward.
"He's lively about the place and just tells you how it is. You know exactly what he wants from you and as a player that's what you need. There is no confusion and I'm enjoying it."
Kenny believes Everton's improvement in recent games proves the players have all taken to Allardyce's style.
He said: "To get a win and a clean sheet is a decent start. I don't think you can get better than that as a first game.
"He has come in with his own ideas and everyone has taken to them. The backroom staff he has brought in have been brilliant and we've kicked on."
