RB Leipzig have had a go back at Arsenal fans over not playing loanee Emile Smith Rowe last week, suggesting their Twitter noise is louder than a jet engine.

Gunners supporters have been tweeting to the Bundesliga side with the statement "play Smith Rowe" after the youngster joined them on loan until the end of the season last week.

But the attacking midfielder has been carrying a knock and was not able to feature in their 3-0 win over Hannover 96 on Friday night.

Leipzig boss Ralf Rangnick confirmed: "He has a groin injury suffered in London and will not be able to train fully with us for the next two or three weeks. We have to wait and see for now until we get him properly fit."

Smith Rowe - an England U19 international - is considered one of Arsenal's best young prospects and he made his first-team debut against Vorskla Poltava in the Europa League last September.

The Croydon-born player has since made five more appearances and scored three goals before joining Leipzig, whose sporting director is the former Tottenham and Southampton head of recruitment Paul Mitchell, on Deadline Day last month.
