Arsenal's head of recruitment Sven Mislintat is set to leave the club.
Arsenal are refusing to comment on reports Mislintat will leave the club but Sky Sports News understands he has decided his future lies away from the Emirates Stadium.
The German, nicknamed 'Diamond Eye' in his home country, was appointed at Arsenal in November 2017 after 10 years of scouting for Borussia Dortmund.
He is credited with bringing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Shinji Kagawa and Ousmane Dembele to the Bundesliga side.
His input also helped then-boss Jurgen Klopp sign Robert Lewandowski, Mats Hummels and Jakub Blaszczykowski as Dortmund won back-to-back German titles under the Liverpool manager.
Mislintat was appointed in December 2017 by former Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis, who has since left for AC Milan.
The 46-year-old German is credited in having a part in the club's signing of Aubameyang, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Sokratis Papastathopoulos.
Meanwhile, SSN understands former Arsenal midfielder Edu is in line for the job as technical director at the Emirates.
Edu made 127 appearances for Arsenal between 2001 and 2005 before leaving to join Valencia.
The 40-year-old, who was capped 15 times by Brazil, took over as Corinthians' director of football in 2011.
He has since become the technical director for the Brazilian national team.
