Manager Arsene Wenger says he is baffled by the anxiety among Arsenal fans about the future of key forward Alexis Sanchez.
The Chile international has a year and a half remaining on his contract but has appeared disgruntled at times this season, as the Gunners have endured mixed results.
Sanchez has been linked with a host of top clubs around the continent, including Arsenal's London rivals Chelsea, but Wenger says there is no call for panic.
"He has a one and a half year contract," said the Gunners boss.
"I don't see what suddenly that debate is about.
"We are professional football people, our job is to perform as long as we are somewhere.
"When I sign a contract, I commit until the last day of my contract. That is what it is to be professional.
"I don't understand this anxiety, one and a half years before the end of a contract. It's absolutely denying what a professional guy is about."
Arsenal continue their quest for a top-four finish at home to West Ham on Wednesday and they will be without defender Laurent Koscielny, who picked up an injury during Sunday's 2-2 draw with Manchester City and was taken off at half-time.
The Gunners are nervously waiting for the results of scans on the French defender's Achilles.
"We lose Koscielny," Wenger said at his Tuesday briefing.
"For how long? I don't know.
"It is serious. If he has ruptured the fibres, then he could be out for a few weeks. If not, he could be available to face Crystal Palace.
"He has a scan today. I can tell you much more tomorrow."
There was better news regarding other members of the Arsenal squad, and Wenger added: "[Alex] Oxlade-Chamberlain and [Aaron] Ramsey have a test today. There is a good chance they are back in the squad.
"Per Mertesacker is available to play. He could be in the squad for tomorrow.
"[Petr] Cech is not available tomorrow. Maybe Monday."
