Lucas Perez says he is on course for an early comeback for Arsenal after being ruled out for two months in late October.
Arsene Wenger signed the Spanish forward from Deportivo La Coruna in the summer for a fee understood to be £17.1m, but Perez has yet to score in the Premier League having made only three top-flight appearances.
Perez, 28, was ruled out for around eight weeks after a tackle from Reading's Danzell Gravenberch during an EFL Cup tie in October left him with damaged ligaments, further delaying his impact at his new club.
However, the striker has shown supporters he is training hard behind the scenes during the current international break to return as quickly as possible.
Perez said on social media: "Working already on the pitch. On track for an early recovery."
Arsenal travel to Old Trafford to face Manchester United in their next fixture, with Jose Mourinho's side two places behind the Gunners in the Premier League table in sixth.
Perez has not yet confirmed if he will be fit to play in the match, but his workout post suggests he could be available for selection sooner than expected.
