Arsenal's Laurent Koscielny has revealed he chooses a "relaxing" game of Scrabble over social media and video games like his tech-savvy team-mates.

Koscielny, 31, is one of Arsene Wenger's most consistent and reliable defenders but his unusual recent admission suggests he does not fit the typical stereotype of a professional footballer in the modern era.

"My younger team-mates are more tech-savvy than me. I don't tweet and they must think I'm like a grandad," the France international told L'Equipe Magazine.

"But I love playing Scrabble. I began with my stepdad and brothers. I'm pretty good now, it relaxes me. I'm competitive and I like to win and try and improve.

"I like playing cards and board games and I played Scrabble a lot during Euro 2016 with Olivier Giroud, Hugo Lloris and some of my other France team-mates.
