Japan striker Takuma Asano is eager to take the next step in his career after agreeing a deal to join Arsenal.
The 21-year-old is set to join the Gunners, subject to a medical and international clearance, from J-League side Sanfrecce Hiroshima.
Asano has been part of two title-winning sides in his home country and was named rookie of the year in Japan last season.
"I am glad that I can have a challenge overseas, which I have always wanted," said Asano.
"I want to play aggressively. I want to score many goals on the pitch, performing with my quick moves and eagerness."
Asano - who scored nine goals in 34 appearances last season - could represent Japan at this summer's Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
