All the latest Liverpool transfer news and rumours from across the British and European press on Monday, July 24.

A senior official at RB Leipzig has told Sky Sports News that Naby Keita will not be sold in this transfer window.

Earlier this week, the German club said they had rejected a bid of over £67m from an unnamed club and Sky sources understand Liverpool have had three bids rejected for the midfielder.

The Guinea international has a £48m release clause in his contract, although that does not become active until next summer.

Liverpool are waiting to receive the green light from Southampton before returning for Virgil van Dijk, the Daily Mail reports.

The Anfield side were reported to the Premier League by the Saints for the alleged 'tapping up' of the defender, who has reportedly been training on his own after telling the club he wants to leave.

While the Reds are still interested in the Netherlands international, they are attempting to build bridges with Southampton and will not move for Van Dijk until invited to do so by the club.

Jurgen Klopp has also confirmed that Lazar Markovic's Liverpool career is effectively over.

"With Lazar, it's no secret that if he finds a club then we will negotiate. It was like this last year too," Klopp told the Liverpool Echo.

"He's a really good player. I like him as a person. He's now fit and another one who is in the best shape since I've known him. Before he had problems with his groin but now he's good. There will be a club out there who needs him."

Newcastle United have been told to spend £10m for Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo or he will be loaned elsewhere, according to The Sun.

Middlesbrough, Fulham and Derby are also said to be interested in his services, with the Reds also wanting a buy-back option in Ojo's contract.
