Mamadou Sakho and Lazar Markovic have not been selected in Liverpool’s 25-man squad for the tour to Hong Kong.
Sakho and Markovic both went out on loan last season and have been linked with permanent moves away from Anfield during the summer transfer window.
Sadio Mane, who was unavailable for the final stages of last season after undergoing knee surgery, misses out as he continues his rehabilitation.
Liverpool's longest-serving player Lucas Leiva has also been omitted from the squad, with the midfielder expected to complete a £5m move to Serie A side Lazio in the coming days.
Liverpool departed for the six-day tour to Hong Kong on Sunday where they play in the Premier League Asia Trophy, live and exclusive on Sky Sports.
Most of last season's first-team squad, including club captain Jordan Henderson, who last played in February, have travelled to Hong Kong where Liverpool face Crystal Palace on Wednesday.
New signings Mohamed Salah and Dominic Solanke were also both included as well as youngsters Ben Woodburn, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez and Marko Grujic.
There were also spots for Jon Flanagan, Ryan Kent and Danny Ward, who spent last season on loan at Burnley, Barnsley and Huddersfield respectively.
