Philippe Coutinho could be set for a spell on the sidelines after he appeared to suffer a dead leg in Liverpool's Monday Night Football clash at Watford.
The midfielder went to ground in the fifth minute following a challenge from Watford defender Adrian Mariappa and was immediately seen clutching his right thigh.
Coutinho received medical treatment on the pitch, but was unable to shake off the knock having returned to the field of play and was replaced by Adam Lallana in the 13th minute.
The 24-year-old was subsequently pictured on the Liverpool substitutes' bench with an ice pack and heavy strapping around the injured area.
Following Liverpool's 1-0 win at Vicarage Road, manager Jurgen Klopp said: "He has a dead leg, hopefully it's not too serious but of course it's really painful and no chance [he could continue]. Everybody could see he tried hard, but no chance."
Coutinho was sidelined for six weeks earlier in the season after suffering an ankle injury in Liverpool's 2-0 win over Sunderland on November 26.
