Liverpool striker Divock Origi has set his sights on securing a regular place in the side after scoring in the 3-1 derby win over Everton on Saturday.

That was the Belgium international's first Premier League goal for three months, with Roberto Firmino preferred to Origi in attack, despite injuries to Daniel Sturridge and Danny Ings.

Having scored in the FA Cup, Origi ended his league drought with the vital third goal against Everton and is now aiming to contribute on a more regular basis.

"I am very ambitious and believe in my qualities and I am ready to do whatever but you have to show everything on the pitch and you have to respect the decision of the coach," Origi said.

"I think as a striker you always want to score so I am happy but I wouldn't say a weight has been lifted.
