Peter Moore has been appointed as Liverpool's new chief executive officer.
The 61-year-old succeeds Ian Ayre in the role and will take up his new position in June.
His appointment completes a 10-month transition plan by Liverpool owners, Fenway Sports Group, and finalises the senior management structure at the Merseyside club.
Moore is currently the chief competition officer at Electronic Arts, based in the United States, and will move to Liverpool in the summer.
He has also previously held senior roles at Microsoft, SEGA and Reebok.
Ayre announced that he would be leaving Liverpool at the end of February after 10 years at the club to take over as managing director of German side TSV 1860 Munich.
