The agent of Liverpool forward Sadio Mane has denied rumours the player turned down a move to Tottenham in the summer due to his wage demands.
The Senegal international moved to Anfield from Southampton for £34m last June and his representative, Bjorn Bezemer, claims Mane had five big-money offers ahead of his departure.
Mane scored both goals in his side's 2-0 victory on Saturday, taking his tally to 11 for Liverpool so far this season.
Bezemer has hit back at claims the 24-year-old rejected a switch to White Hart Lane with money the main motivation, insisting Mane was keen to work with Jurgen Klopp.
"Sadio had five offers in the summer and financially all of them were good," Bezemer is quoted as saying in the Guardian.
"We wanted the right team, with the right coach at the right moment to arrive at the next level.
"That is the reason Sadio went to Anfield."
