The 22-year-old midfielder made 34 appearances for Real Madrid last season, but is being linked to an Anfield move.

However, Spanish publication Marca reports that manager Zinedine Zidane is keen to keep hold of the Croatia international who has already won the Champions League and UEFA Super Cup with the Los Blancos.
