Liverpool start their 2016/17 Premier League campaign with a trip to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal on Super Sunday.
Jurgen Klopp is aiming for serious improvement on last year's eighth-placed finish in his first full season in charge, but what will his starting XI look like against the Gunners?
From goalkeepers to strikers, we take a look at his options…
Goalkeeper
Loris Karius was hoping to challenge for the No 1 jersey after his arrival from Mainz in the summer, but his broken hand means Simon Mignolet is guaranteed to start the season as first choice, with former Arsenal goalkeeper Alex Manninger providing back-up.
Defence
Ragnar Klavan is expected to come into central defence alongside Dejan Lovren while Joel Matip rebuilds his fitness following an ankle injury. Mamadou Sakho is out of favour having been sent home early from Liverpool's pre-season tour.
Nathaniel Clyne looks likely to keep hold of the right-back spot, but there is less certainty at left-back. The Reds have been linked with a host of players to strengthen the position this summer, but there has been no new arrival yet. Alberto Moreno will hope to start against the Gunners after makeshift left-back James Milner picked up an injury over the weekend.
Midfield
Jurgen Klopp has experimented with a number of different approaches in pre-season but he could favour the extra solidity of a 4-3-3 formation at the Emirates Stadium. Emre Can and Jordan Henderson could be joined in the centre by new signing Georginio Wijnaldum, a £25m arrival from Newcastle.
Adam Lallana could also play in central midfield, but Marko Grujic is an injury doubt and Lucas Leiva is expected to join Joe Allen through the Anfield exit door.
Attack
Klopp says he has "no idea" whether Daniel Sturridge will be fit to face Arsenal, and Roberto Firmino could get the nod ahead of Divock Origi and Christian Benteke, who is expected to leave the club before the end of the transfer window. New signing Sadio Mane is likely to start on the right flank, with Philippe Coutinho on the left.
