Liverpool defender Jose Enrique has been told he is no longer required by the club and has been given permission to talk to other teams.
The 30-year-old Spaniard has one month left on his £65,000-a-week contract but has been informed he does not need to report for training.
Enrique failed to secure a first-team place following the arrival of Jurgen Klopp in October and has made just three senior appearances all season.
He has not featured in a matchday squad since early February after being pushed down the Anfield pecking order by compatriot Alberto Moreno.
The former Newcastle defender was linked in the media with a move back to St James' Park in January but reportedly turned down a deal, despite Liverpool offering to pay off the remainder of his contract.
