Man City fan Noel Gallagher hopes Manuel Pellegrini changes his approach for the Capital One Cup final after City's heavy defeat to Liverpool earlier this season.
Pellegrini's side were three goals down after 32 minutes at the Etihad Stadium in November, and eventually lost 4-1 as Liverpool put together one of their most impressive displays of the season under Jurgen Klopp.
Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino each found the net as they ran rampant in the first half, and as the two sides prepare to meet again at Wembley this weekend, Gallagher fears a repeat performance.
"If both managers employ the same tactics, the outcome will be the same," he told Jamie Carragher in a sit-down interview for Soccer AM.
"All the big managers have had City's number this season, and it's very easy to play against us. You give our centre-half the ball, they all come up to the halfway line, and you pounce on them.
"Daniel Sturridge being back is not good for us, but Pellegrini has to learn from that game because if he plays the same way the outcome will be the same.
"If Liverpool put out their strongest team, and City do the same, it will be very close. I wouldn't be surprised if it went to extra time. I think Liverpool are the coming team, so I'm not really going there expecting to win. I'm going there more in hope."
