Liverpool goalkeeper Adam Bogdan has been dropped from their Europa League squad in favour of rookie Danny Ward.

Ward, recalled last month from a loan spell from Aberdeen, is yet to make a first team appearance for the club but has been preferred to the Hungary international.

Bogdan has not featured in a Liverpool matchday squad since the FA Cup third round replay against Exeter on January 20 - he gifted the League Two side a goal after misjudging the flight of a corner in the first game on January 8.

Steven Caulker and Joao Carlos Teixeira have also been added to the squad with long-term injury victims Danny Ings and Joe Gomez removed.

There is also no room for Jon Flanagan despite his return to action following an 18-month injury lay-off while the out-of-favour Jose Enrique is also omitted.

UEFA allows teams that make the knockout stages of the Europa League to make three changes to their original squad before the competition resumes later this month.
