Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho says he is delighted to be playing again after missing four games with a hamstring problem.

The 23-year-old returned to action when coming off the bench for the final 30 minutes of the goalless draw with FC Sion before starting in Sunday's 2-2 draw against West Brom at Anfield.

Prior to his injury the Brazilian had scored four goals in three Premier League games, including away victories over Chelsea and Manchester City.

And Coutinho is hopeful of helping the team return to winning form quickly, after failing to record a victory in any of their last three matches.

"I'm feeling much better. I'm training and I'm available for selection. It's the best thing, because to be out injured is very difficult - it's awful," Coutinho told the club's official website.

"Of course, we love playing football and when we're available for selection, it's the best thing. I'm feeling good and I hope I can help the team out in the best possible way."

Liverpool avoided a second successive league defeat when Divock Origi scored in stoppage time, and Coutinho hailed the contribution of the fans.

James McClean believes Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp let himself down after West Brom's draw with the German's side

"We didn't give up at any time," he said. "It was a very difficult game against a team that sat back and the atmosphere inside the ground was amazing.

"The supporters were urging us on, so the goal was very important and we were satisfied given the way things were going. The fans are there supporting us and that's really important, as I've said before.

"We hope it will be like it was in the last game until the end of the season, everyone united, so we can achieve positive results in the league."
