Maurizio Sarri and Marco Silva played down their touchline spat following Chelsea's 0-0 draw with Everton on Sunday afternoon.
The two managers were involved in a heated exchange during the Premier League stalemate which witnessed seven yellow cards, five of which came during an ill-tempered first half.
But the managers were unwilling to discuss their row at full-time and both insisted they had patched things up at the end of the match.
"No, I think it was a normal discussion on the pitch," Sarri said when asked about the incident.
"At the end of the match, there wasn't a problem between me and Marco."
And when Everton boss Silva was asked what was said, he responded: "Normal things.
"The players are playing and you are playing outside as well. There is big respect between us.
"He is a fantastic coach, but he wants to win. I want the same thing as well. It is normal.
"At the end, we spoke and everything is ok."
Chelsea fell short in their bid to move top of the Premier League table ahead of the Manchester derby, but the result means Sarri has become the first manager in Premier League history to avoid defeat in his first 12 games.
And the Italian admitted he was delighted to reach the landmark.
"I am very, very proud about it," he added.
"Of course, I have to say thank you to the club because they gave me a very strong squad and I have to say thank you to the players and of course to my staff.
"I am really very happy with the record, but I'd prefer three points today.
"We need to think day by day and match by match. Here, every match is very difficult. Everton is a very strong team and it's very difficult to play against them.
"In the Premier League, every match is very difficult and we have to be focused match by match."
