Antonio Conte says Chelsea's 3-0 win against Everton was a huge win and praised the strength of his team

Antonio Conte has hailed Chelsea's patience in their 3-0 win over Everton as they edged closer to the Premier League title.

Chelsea's comfortable victory over the Toffees on Super Sunday means Conte's side have taken a further step to securing the Premier League title.

Chelsea played out a tight, goalless first-half in Merseyside, before goals from Pedro (66), Gary Cahill (79) and substitute Willian (89) secured three points.

"We must be pleased because we've had a lot of patience to wait at the right moment to hit, and then we decided to win," he told Sky Sports after the match.

"In this type of game it's not easy and the danger is to lose your head, and to try to win, but lose your opponents.

Chelsea have four games left to play of their Premier League campaign, with Middlesbrough coming up next on May 8 on Monday Night Football before they take on West Brom, Watford and already-relegated Sunderland.

And Conte insists there cannot be any slip-ups in their final push for the Premier League title.

"The next game is Middlesbrough and if you don't win then you lose this victory," Conte added.

"We must go step by step and look at ourselves to try to take three points from every game. This is the right way to try to win the title."
