Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte says Kurt Zouma is "feeling good" after stepping up his recovery from an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

The centre-back suffered the season-ending knee injury in Chelsea's 1-1 draw with Manchester United in February but has returned to training with the squad during the Blues' Austrian pre-season camp.

Conte revealed the 21-year-old is progressing well, although he is sitting out of contact sessions for the time being.

"Zouma is feeling good - he is already training with the group and today he also trained in the aerobical session," Conte said on Tuesday ahead of Chelsea's friendly against RZ Pellets on Wednesday.

"Of course when there are strong tackles or this kind of situation he cannot take part because we must respect his injury, that was serious, but he's training with the group and he is happy."
