Marouane Fellaini 'should be fit' for Manchester United's trip to Chelsea, says Roberto Martinez

Belgium head coach Roberto Martinez expects midfielder Marouane Fellaini to recover from a groin strain in time for Manchester United’s trip to Chelsea on Saturday

Marouane Fellaini should be fit for Manchester United's trip to Chelsea on Saturday despite missing Belgium's friendly on Tuesday, says Roberto Martinez.

The midfielder sat out the 1-1 draw against the Netherlands in Brussels, with Martinez admitting Fellaini was not "100 per cent" fit.

United's game at Stamford Bridge, live on Sky Sports Premier League, is key as they try to make up ground on the top four and Martinez believes Fellaini will recover in time to play a part.

He said: "He should be fine, it's just he wasn't 100 per cent.

"He's got an important game at the weekend and this wasn't the game to use players who weren't 100 per cent.
