Paul Pogba missed Manchester United's game against Liverpool on Saturday because of an injury, confirmed manager Jose Mourinho.
Pogba, 24, sustained an injury in training on Friday ahead of Saturday's Premier League fixture at Old Trafford.
Mourinho gave no indication as to whether the midfielder would be fit enough to return for United's midweek Champions League last-16 second-leg clash against Sevilla on Tuesday.
Speaking prior to kick-off, Mourinho told Sky Sports: "He's injured. Yesterday in training. He was in an unlucky situation.
"I don't know how long he is out for."
The France international was replaced in the starting eleven by Juan Mata in a three-man midfield alongside youngster Scott McTominay and Nemanja Matic.
Pogba was left out of the starting line-up against Huddersfield and Sevilla last month amid questions about his form, but returned to start the last two games against Chelsea and Crystal Palace.
