Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea missed the win over Sunderland with a hip injury but should be fit to return against Chelsea, according to Jose Mourinho.
Sergio Romero deputised for the Spain international as United ran out 3-0 winners on Tyneside, goals from Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Marcus Rashford boosting their top-four hopes.
Speaking after the game, Mourinho revealed Romero was in line to keep his place for Thursday's Europa League quarter-final first leg away to Anderlecht.
But he said he was hopeful De Gea would be back in goal for next weekend's visit of Chelsea, live on Sky Sports.
"He has a problem with his hip," Mourinho said of De Gea. "When he dives, he feels it a little bit. It's good for him to have a rest,"
"It's good for Sergio Romero to play before Brussels. De Gea will probably be fit for Chelsea. Yes, if he's in good condition."
Mourinho made a total of five changes to the team held 1-1 by Everton last Tuesday, with Matteo Darmian, Luke Shaw, Paul Pogba and Mkhitaryan also coming in.
Belgian midfielder Marouane Fellaini was given the captain's armband in what proved a convincing victory against a side now 10 points from safety at the foot of the table.
