Wayne Rooney broke Sir Bobby Charlton's all-time scoring record for Manchester United on Saturday afternoon.
The United and England captain curled home a world-class free-kick in the 94th minute of the Premier League tie with Stoke to rescue a 1-1 draw and move onto 250 goals for the Red Devils.
That took him past the 249 Charlton scored for United, with Rooney's latest strike arguably one of the finest of his record haul.
But there have been a number of iconic goal from the 31-year-old since his move to Manchester United in 2004, including goals against Arsenal on his 19th birthday and netting against Liverpool on his return to Merseyside.
There are also fine chips and volleys among his best strikes as well as that iconic overhead kick against Manchester City in the Manchester derby in February 2011.
Rooney's goals have also spurned some well known phrases from Sky Sports pundits which are now used on a regular basis.
