Manchester United fans have been asked to give their opinions on the possibility of introducing safe standing at Old Trafford.
The Premier League club has contacted season ticket holders asking them to complete an online survey on the subject.
Officials of Manchester United visited Scottish champions Celtic in October to view their newly introduced standing area which accommodates 2,975 supporters.
Premier League clubs are currently discussing the possibility of bringing back small standing areas within stadiums.
According to the Daily Mail, "fans were given a map of Old Trafford and told to pinpoint three areas in which they believed were best to house those who want to stand."
It had previously been mooted that the singing section in Stand J would be a suitable location for the re-introduction of safe standing.
It has been reported that United's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has been a strong advocate of safe standing and that the club should examine the possibility of re-introducing it at Old Trafford.
